See MoreOn a beautiful and sunny Friday afternoon, 10 volunteers and FOKLSS staff gathered at the Nelson Dog Walk to clean up the shoreline. The goal of this cleanup was to make this area safer for dogs and our community.
Nelson Dog Walk is littered with glass from the old landfill that was buried at the site. In a short amount of time, volunteers filled 6 large buckets with glass. A huge thank you to everyone who pitched in. Thanks to your help we are able to keep the shoreline of Kootenay Lake clean so that everyone and all species can explore this area safely.
