EECOM’s Awards of Excellence in Environmental Education and Communication recognize contributions of outstanding individuals and organizations engaged in environmental learning across Canada.
Les prix d’excellence en éducation et communication relatives à l’environnement d’EECOM ont pour but de reconnaître les contributions remarquables d’individus et d’organismes dans le secteur environnemental à travers le Canada.
We recognize individuals and organizations that have collectively influenced hundreds of thousands of Canadian citizens and helped implement one of EECOM’s key goals – to advance environmental learning, ensuring Canadians are environmentally literate, engaging in environmental stewardship, and contributing to a healthy, sustainable future.
EECOM welcomes nominees working in a wide range of fields, including those that support Indigenous Peoples, histories, and cultures in their approach to environmental education and communication (e.g., honouring the spirit of learning, a sense of place, relational understanding, reciprocity, collaboration, and language).
Nous reconnaissons des individus et organismes ayant influencé la population canadienne et ayant atteint un ou plusieurs des objectifs d’EECOM, soit que les Canadiens et Canadiennes comprennent les problèmes environnementaux, pratiquent la gérance environnementale et contribuent à un avenir sain.
EECOM souhaite la bienvenue aux candidats qui travaillent dans un large éventail de domaines, y compris ceux qui soutiennent les peuples, les histoires et les cultures autochtones dans leur approche de l’éducation et de la communication relatives à l’environnement (par exemple, en honorant l’esprit d’apprentissage, le sens du lieu, la compréhension relationnelle, la réciprocité, la collaboration et la langue).
Nominations for the 2019 Awards of Excellence in Environmental Education and Communication opened December 10, 2018 and close February 11, 2019. Recipients will be notified by March 11. Awards recipients will be recognized at the EECOM 2019 Conference.
Les nominations pour les prix d’excellence en éducation et communication relatives à l’environnement seront acceptées du 10 décembre 2018 au 11 février 2019. Les gagnants seront avisés au plus tard le 11 mars. Les récipiendaires seront annoncés à la conférence 2019 d’EECOM.
