KOKANEE CREEK BEACH CLEAN-UP AND TRASH TO ART COMPETITION

Join Friends of Kootenay Lake at our Spring Beach Clean-up

on April 27th from 10:00 am till noon. 

In celebration of Earth Day, we will again be cleaning up the shore around Kootenay Lake. This year we will return to Kokanee Creek Provincial Park and will again be inviting those who attend to take part in our Trash to Art competition! Last year we saw so many amazing submissions, the first place piece by Vicky Issott is featured on this year’s poster. This year prizes will be awarded to the winning piece chosen at our outreach events this summer. You can sign up to take part on the day of the Beach Clean-up.

All are welcome to meet us at Kokanee Creek Provincial Park at the Friends Campground parking area where we will have hot coffee from Oso Negro and snacks for free. So be sure to bring your own mug and be please carpool if you can!
