Landscape + Conservation Design Workshops

GET EDUCATED!
Information sessions and workshops to support property owners in Taghum, Beasley and Bonnington better address water conservation, risks from wildfire and wildlife conflicts, and support local biodiversity while reducing invasive species.

Work with Landscape Designer Chris Holt and other experts to create a plan for your property to:
• Reduce water use
• Reduce your risks from fire
• Grow more food with less water
• Encourage bees, butterflies & birds, while managing conflicts with wildlife
• Identify and manage invasive plants

No advanced registration is required, everyone is welcome to participate in any of the information sessions. To be eligible for the landscape & conservation design workshops in May, participants MUST have attended all 3 information sessions.

Thursday, April 12th 6:30-9:30 (please arrive by 6:15)

Chris Holt: the water-conscious landscape – design principles

Thursday, April 19th 7-9 (please arrive by 6:45)
Nora Hannon: Firesmart – how to use plants and landscape design to minimize risks from fire David White: reducing conflicts with wildlife

Thursday, April 26th 6:30-9:30 (please arrive by 6:15)
Identifying and managing invasive species
Chris Holt: plant selection & how to develop a site plan
