Friends of Kootenay Lake’s Harrop Wetland Enhancement Project is underway and we want to share our 2022 plans with you! Construction at the wetland is expected to begin in late October. In this webinar, we will be covering the history of the Harrop Wetland Project, our monitoring goals for 2022, what you can expect to see at the wetland during the construction phase, and different volunteer opportunities to get involved with the restoration efforts.

Since 2013, FoKLSS has been working with the Harrop community and local experts to restore this wetland with the goal of increasing water retention to improve the breeding success of Western Toads. We have big plans for 2022.

Everyone is invited to attend! Whether you visit the site to watch birds, walk your dog or catch up with friends we want you to know what monitoring work is being done to assess previous restoration work that was done 5 years ago.
