Discussing the impacts of climate change on Kootenay Lake. With presentations by local researchers, climate scientists, and non-profits.

This highly anticipated event will feature talks from local leaders in climate science and action, set to the beautiful backdrop of the Kootenay River!

The Kootenay Lake Summit is a free event offering an opportunity for community members to engage by attending presentations hosted by experts in their field.

The focus of the 2019 Summit will be to provide residents with sound knowledge on the impacts climate change will have on the Kootenay Lake community and ecosystem. Get informed on the current research and knowledge our local community has on climate impacts to our lake, and get inspired by the brilliant work being done to plan for and mitigate these changes.

This is also a great opportunity to sign-up for an annual FOKLSS membership!

*Meal and drinks will be provided throughout the event to those who pre-register.

This is a free event, however, there is a recommended donation of $20 to help the organization cover the costs associated with this event.
